Serbia managed to lobby an amendment in the Resolution on Kosovo that is to be adopted by Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), to not include the word "independence".

Late Wednesday, PACE adopted the amendment for erasing the Paragraph 4 of the Resolution with majority of votes. It stated that Kosovo's independence, under certain conditions, is a solution that would ensure most chances for permanent peace and stability of Kosovo and the entire region.

This decision for removing was also adopted on Tuesday by the Political Committee of PACE. The voting on the remaining more than 60 amendments is underway.
